News After 1 month

We went for our one month check up with Ella today. She’s now 4.5 kg (9.9 lbs), 55 cm and the circumference of her head is above average. As you might have guess, she takes after Damien in that department.

Our lives revolve around breast feeding, pumping milk, changing diapers and trying to get some rest. She amazes me everyday with the little things that she does like trying to lift her head, making faces etc. I’m learning to decipher the different types of cries; it’s tricky.

Our dogs have taken to digging in the garbage and shredding her diaper on the floor. According to them, it’s like some sort of delicacy. We’ve had to replace the bins with the lid kind to prevent them from doing it, but they figured out how to tip it over and make everything fall out. It’s a good thing we have a maid or I’d be cleaning up the floor in between breast feeding all day long!

Tuesday the 11th of July, 17.42: Here I am!

A 3.5 Kg and 51 cm pink bundle of joy! I surely tired Mama with all the pushing and Dada is jumping around like a mad frog!

I am pretty exhausted too! Time to get some food and take a nap!
